Wyvern Dev

I build websites that run the business behind them.

Online booking, pickup orders, quotes and invoices, an inbox for inquiries, logins for your staff. One site that does the work, set up on your own server and handed over with instructions.

What I build

A website is the part customers see. Most of what I build is the part they don't: the screens your staff use every day, and the emails and links that keep customers in the loop.

Every site ships with security headers, rate limits on forms and logins, a privacy policy and terms of use. No ad trackers, no outside scripts.

  • Online booking

Customers pick a service, a person and an open time. They get a confirmation, a reminder the day before and a private link to move or cancel. You see the day on one screen.

  • Pickup ordering

A menu people can order from, priced on the server, with a live order board behind the counter so new orders show up without anyone refreshing. Sold-out switches for when something runs out.

  • Quotes, estimates and invoices

Line items, tax and totals worked out by the site, sent by email with a link the customer can open. Card payments through Stripe if you want them, or mark it paid when the cash comes in.

  • An inbox for inquiries

Party requests, catering, estimates, whatever people write in about. Each one keeps its own thread, and you reply by email straight from the dashboard.

  • Event calendars and TV screens

Weekly nights, one-off events and private bookings on one calendar, plus a full-screen page for the TV behind the bar or by the door.

  • Staff dashboards

Everyone signs in with their own account. Owners change prices, hours and the text on the site without calling anyone. Staff see what they need for the shift.

It goes live on your server, in your name

Your site doesn't live on my server. When it's ready, I set it up on a server or hosting account that you own, check that it all works there, and hand it over.

After the handover, the site, the server and the logins are yours.

HTTPS
Certificates set up so they renew on their own.
Nightly backups
The database is copied every night and old copies are rotated out.
A watchdog
Checks the site every few minutes and restarts it if it stops answering.
One-command rollback
Every update saves the version before it. One command puts it back.
Handover
Written instructions for the dashboard, the backups and the rollback, so you or anyone you hire can run it.

What it costs

Every build is quoted per project. Tell me what the business needs and I will send back a written quote that lists what is included, from the first page to setting it up on your own server or hosting account.

How a project goes

  1. You tell me what the business needs. The form below is enough to start.
  2. I send a written quote with what's included.
  3. I build it, and you try it before it goes live.
  4. I set it up on your server and hand it over with instructions.

Who you'd be working with

Wyvern Dev is one person. I write the code, set it up on your server, and answer the messages that come through this form. You deal with the same person from the first email to the handover.

Tell me a little about the business and what you want the site to do. I read every message and reply by email.
